Your Chromebook Plus is the main helper in your efforts at work and school, but Google seems to want this helper to be as powerful as the main character. Today, Google is rolling out three Google AI features to your Chromebook Plus. Here they are:

• “Help me write”: This feature works like a little bookworm that’s always on your shoulder, ready to help you be more efficient in everything that has to do with writing. If it’s a text field, Google AI can help you type. This can work for titles, posts, subject lines, emails, etc. It can even refine the tone more to your liking, as well as shorten, formalize, and rephrase it.
• Magic Editor: Magic Editor is the same as on Google Pixel devices, but Chromebook Plus laptops will be the only ones that will be able to use it in Google Photos. This AI-powered editor allows you to move and even resize objects in your image.
• Generative AI video wallpapers and backgrounds: Are you looking for a surreal, colorful or unique background for your computer chats or video calls? Chrome OS on Chromebook Plus gets a new wallpaper creator that you can use to create unique backgrounds that are anything but boring.

In addition to Google AI, Chromebook Plus laptops will also get help from Google Gemini, which is not surprising considering Google is putting a lot of work into developing its AI model and making it available to consumers. Gemini comes pre-installed and you will be able to work with it, plan things, study, create drafts and so on.

• The all-new Game Panel adds many useful features for gamers, such as mapping controls, screen recording with voiceover, and sharing screenshots and gameplay clips.
