Ithaca finalizes preparations for North Sea Captain EOR well

ABERDEEN, UK — Ithaca Energy’s Phase II Captain EOR project in the Central UK North Sea is nearing completion, the company said in a results update.

Final verification activities were completed prior to the first Phase II polymer injection into subsea wells. All three remaining polymer injection wells in Area D have been drilled and the new B35 production well has come on stream.

Full subsea infrastructure, including pipelines, umbilicals and subsea distribution units, is available to enable the launch of EOR II.

Work is ongoing on the FEED study on Captain’s electrification.

At Bishop’s Schiehallion Field west of Shetland, production is affected by weather-related outages and semi-submarine outages The Great White Ocean being outside the station. This will impact the schedule for new production drilling later in the year.

In the same region, the Rosebank development project operated by Equinor is progressing Petrojarl Rosebank The FPSO has docked in Dubai for modernization work and SURF operations will commence soon.
