HYPR announces new partnership with CrowdStrike to expand its trusted integration network – TradingView News

NEW YORK, May 28, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — HYPR, the identity assurance company, today announced on Identiverse a technology alliance with CrowdStrike to help mutual customers achieve seamless and secure identity across workstations and devices. The new integration combines data from HYPR Adapt with security telemetry from the industry-leading CrowdStrike Falcon® XDR platform, enabling organizations to make contextual access decisions and reduce the risk of unauthorized access and insider threats. Additionally, shared CrowdStrike Falcon Identity Protection customers can use HYPR’s FIDO-certified multi-factor authentication (MFA) to gain risk-based conditional access to critical applications.

According to a recent HYPR report, 91% of organizations that experienced breaches attributed the root cause of at least one breach to credential misuse or authentication weaknesses, resulting in affected organizations incurring an average cost of $5.48 million. Most authentication and identity security methods lack the additional context provided by device state information and user risk signals. As a result, organizations monitor only a single moment in the user journey and neglect sensitive gaps that arise between internal and external access points, especially between the device and the network.

Combining high-quality security telemetry from Falcon with IdP data and network and browser risk verification data from HYPR protects shared customers from identity assurance threats by:

  • Device and user verification with secure access: HYPR will seamlessly integrate the CrowdStrike Falcon Zero Trust Assessment (ZTA) score, a calculation based on a device’s security posture, with data from the HYPR Adapt risk engine to determine the validity of an access request. HYPR Adapt will correlate additional security telemetry from the Falcon platform with defined policies and other contextual factors, such as the user’s physical location and proximity to the workstation, to determine the appropriate policy decision and dynamically adjust authentication and/or verification requirements.
  • Hassle-free authentication: Joint customers can leverage Falcon Identity Protection and expand their identity threat detection and response (ITDR) capabilities to challenge higher-risk users and devices with HYPR’s leading FIDO-certified multi-factor authentication, further reducing identity risk. while making logins faster and easier for trusted devices and users.

“At HYPR, we are focused on revolutionizing access security with a passwordless future. The integration with CrowdStrike is a significant step forward in this mission. We enable organizations to implement risk-based access controls, providing seamless access to trusted users while automatically mitigating the risk of infected devices,” said Rich Gibsen, vice president of product management at HYPR.
