Magda Chambriard takes over as CEO of Petrobras

RIO DE JANEIRO — Petrobras appointed Magda Chambriard as a member of the management board and elected her as the new CEO of the company.

Chambriard took office in both positions on May 24.

Petrobras approved early termination Jean Paul Prates mandate of the Director-General through negotiations on 15 May. He also resigned from his position as a member of the management board.

Chambriard started her career at Petrobras in 1980, always working in production. In 2002, she was transferred to ANP to advise the Exploration and Production Department. In 2008, she became the head of the ANP Directorate, and in 2012, the head of the Office of the General Director.
