DNA Payments integrates Alipay+ to enhance the UK tourism, hospitality and travel sector

More than 50,000 retailers across the UK will now be able to offer products to customers Alipay+ as an alternative payment method at checkout when launched by British fintech DNA payments.

DNA Payments has integrated a suite of cross-border mobile payment and digitalization technology solutions powered by Ant Solutions to their point-of-service (POS) terminals to accept more direct payments. This will significantly improve the efficiency of payment transactions with tourists from around the world, especially from Asia. They will be able to quickly and conveniently benefit from the hotel, tourism, travel and more industries.

Once launched, users of Alipay+’s 14 partner e-wallets will be able to make mobile payments using home e-wallets at hospitality merchants. They include: Boisdale Restaurant Group, Lochside House Hotel Spa and CottagesAND Durrants Hotel as part of an initial pilot program that will end in June.

Alipay+ provides global reach, enabling 88 million merchants to connect to over 25 e-wallets and banking apps around the world. It offers secure payments with access to promotions, benefits and services from merchants around the world.

How it’s working

Consumers can make payments by simply scanning the QR code displayed on DNA Payments’ POS terminal to complete the transaction using the mobile payment app. This ensures a seamless shopping experience for overseas guests visiting the UK. Additionally, it enables merchants to better interact with customers using POS solutions from DNA Payments.
