Emotions run high as Apple announces WWDC 2024 schedule

Of course, we can’t wait to see how AI improves Siri. The virtual digital assistant will also generate AI-powered summaries and should be able to conduct more natural-sounding conversations. Apple prefers most AI to be handled on-device, but more complex tasks will require the use of M2 Ultra-enabled servers in cloud-based data centers. Insiders told us that the iOS 18 update will be the biggest update in iOS history, and Keynote is the place to learn more about it.

Following the keynote at 1 p.m. PDT (4 p.m. EDT), Apple will host a Platforms State of the Union event where the tech giant will give us more detailed information on what’s happening with various Apple platforms, including iOS, iPadOS , macOS and tvOS , VisionOS and watchOS.

WWDC 2024 is fast approaching

If you’re a developer and want to learn new tricks, you can sign up to watch video sessions published by Apple in the Apple Developer app, YouTube channel, and website. You can install the developer app by clicking this link which will take you to the App Store. You can watch these videos by visiting YouTube and the Apple Developer Channel. To watch videos, be sure to subscribe to the channel. There is still some left from last year’s WWDC event.

Following the presentation, Apple will release a schedule of its labs, which are open to current Apple Developer Program and Apple Developer Enterprise Program members, 2022-2024 Swift Student Challenge winners, and Entrepreneur Camp graduates. Requests for labs to close the next day at 6:00 PM PDT. It’s up to you to decide which lab is best for your question and time window. Each consultation will last from 20 minutes to 30 minutes.

When you submit your request. Apple suggests adding:

Specific questions
Detailed information on tried troubleshooting steps
Links to your application, if available
Requests to discuss general topics, features, or APIs
Feedback IDs for related reports submitted using Feedback Assistant

Apple asks that you be clear about what you want to talk about so that you can be matched with an appropriate Apple expert. Additionally, “If your request is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with an invitation to the Calendar, a Webex link, and other instructions by 10:00 PM ET the night before your consultation. You’ll also receive a notification from the Apple Developer app. ”
