By eliminating the USB bridge chip required in traditional designs, a single-chip solution reduces both bill of materials (BOM) costs and energy consumption. The new SM2322 enhances external portable SSDs with higher performance and higher capacity, leveraging Silicon Motion’s patented NANDXtend® 4KB LDPC error correction technologies to improve durability and 3D TLC/QLC NAND data retention. Provides end-to-end data integrity with SRAM ECC and end-to-end data path protection. Additionally, the SM2322 ensures the highest level of data security by providing 256-bit AES encryption, fingerprint security, and full compliance with the Opal Trusted Computing Group (TCG) specification to meet high security standards.
