IRSA releases 341,400 cusecs of water

ISLAMABAD, May 28 (APP): Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Tuesday released 341,400 cusecs of water from various shore stations against an inflow of 379,100 cusecs.

According to data released by IRSA, the water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Barrage was 540.93 feet, which was 20.93 feet higher than the dead level of 1,398 feet. The inflow and outflow of water in the dam was recorded as 1,52,400 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum river at Mangla barrage was 350.5 m, which was 134.50 m higher than its dead level of 3,000 m.

Water inflow and outflow were recorded as 67,300 cusecs and 30,000 cusecs, respectively.

Water release in Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur was recorded as 222,500, 158,700, 90,100 and 40,400 cusecs respectively. Similarly, in the case of Kabul River, a total of 99,300 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 35,900 cusecs was released from Chenab River at Marala.
