NEW DELHI: Power shares fell during Wednesday’s session.

Indowind Energy Ltd. (up 4.97%), Orient Green Power Company Ltd. (up 4.97%), Suzlon Energy Ltd. (up 4.90%), RattanIndia Power Ltd. (up 4.90%), 82%), India Power Corporation Ltd. (up 4.37%), Indo Tech Transformers Ltd. (up 4.14%), Jyoti Structures Ltd. (up 4.13%), Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd. (up 2.85%), Hitachi Energy India Ltd. (up 2.76%) and CESC Ltd. (up 2.54%) were among the top earners.

Inox Wind Ltd. (down 13.10%), Karma Energy Ltd. (down 4.98%), GE T&D India Ltd. (down 2.54%), Power and Instrumentation(Gujarat) Ltd. (down by 2.01%), JSW Energy Ltd. (down by 1.43%), Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd. (down by 0.94%), Tata Power Company Ltd. (down by 0.93%), Adani Green Energy Ltd. (down 0.75%), Energy Development Company Ltd. (down 0.44%) and NLC India Ltd. (down 0.41%) were among the biggest losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended the session down 183.46 points at 22,704.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex ended down 667.55 points at 74,502.9.

Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 3.53%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (up 1.57%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 1.28%), Nestle India Ltd. (up 1 .0%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (up 0.96%), Cipla Ltd. (up 0.96%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (up 0.9%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd . (increase by 0.68%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 0.6%) and ITC Ltd. (up 0.46%) were among the Nifty top gainers. While HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 2.87%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd. (down 2.62%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (down 2.22%), ICICI Bank Ltd. ( down 2.22%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (down 2.18%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 2.01%), Axis Bank Ltd. (down 2.0%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.
