IRSA releases 334,200 cusecs of water

ISLAMABAD, May 29 (APP): Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Wednesday released 334,200 cusecs of water from various shore stations against an inflow of 375,500 cusecs.

According to data released by IRSA, the water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Barrage was 540.86 m and was 20.86 m higher than the dead level of 1,398 ft. The water inflow and outflow in the dam were recorded as 150,900 cusecs and 151,500 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum river at Mangla barrage was 3,500 meters, which was 136 meters higher than its dead level of 300 meters.

Water inflow and outflow were recorded as 66,900 cusecs and 25,000 cusecs, respectively.

Water release in Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur was recorded as 213,300, 168,200, 92,700 and 37,300 cusecs respectively. Similarly, for Kabul River, a total of 94,200 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 38,700 cusecs was released from Chenab River at Marala
