Relations Insurance Services announces the acquisition of First Insurance

Relation Insurance Services has acquired the assets of First Insurance, a subsidiary of FirstBank, Inc.

Headquartered in Durant, Oklahoma, First Insurance offers a full range of insurance products, including commercial, personal, farm and ranch, and manufacturing insurance. Dina Wagner will continue to manage the Durant office as part of the Relation family.

The transaction, which took effect on April 1, 2024, was not disclosed.

“Joining Relation allows us to better serve our customers,” Wagner said. She also noted that the expertise and broad network of relationships of Relation’s carriers will provide customers with better insurance options tailored to their needs.

Hall added that the team brings long-term relationships and deep experience in delivering end-to-end insurance solutions, and Relation is excited to join the team.

Relation Insurance Services also disclosed that it is actively seeking partnerships to expand its offerings, industry expertise and geographic reach. The company offers equity opportunities for insurance entrepreneurs and emphasizes a people-centric approach to optimize outcomes for employees and customers.

Relation Insurance Services is an insurance brokerage firm providing risk management and benefits consulting services throughout the United States. Relation employs approximately 1,350 employees in over 137 locations throughout the country.

The company is privately held and backed by Aquiline Capital Partners, a New York and London-based private equity firm that invests globally in financial services and technology companies.

In April, the company announced the acquisition of Elite Insurance, a Brooklyn-based company offering employee benefits, commercial insurance and high net worth (HNW) personal insurance.
