IPG introduces the IMA E-CO Flex SealMatic brand, a fully automatic WAT random case sealer for e-commerce

SARASOTA, Fla., May 29, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — IPG® (Intertape Polymer Group®), a leading manufacturer of highly automated packaging machinery and turnkey solutions, has introduced a new brand of IMA E-CO Flex SealMatic.

E-CO Flex SealMatic is a fully automatic FEFCO 201 (RSC) package sealer, automatically adapting its mechanical movements to the package size. It is equipped with sustainable water-activated tape technology (WAT), which allows cases to be sealed from the top and bottom at high speeds, up to 20 cases per minute, without the need for operator intervention.

The machine can process a wide range of case sizes, allowing the machine to smoothly adjust to the size of each case when closing the top case flaps. If a SIOC (Ships in Own Container) case is detected, the machine will automatically bypass it to pass through the system without the use of tape.

E-CO Flex SealMatic can be equipped with many additional functions. These include the ability to apply hazardous materials (hazmat) labels, print and apply shipping labels, and use smart cameras for quality control to ensure proper flap assembly, tape application, and tape length. The compact size of the sealer allows it to be easily incorporated into existing systems with only minor modifications.
