Emirates Group makes management changes – News

Dubai – Saeed Mohammed has been appointed CEO of Emirates Flight Catering. He will be succeeded by Yousuf Mohammad Ali, who has been appointed senior vice president of procurement and logistics at Emirates Airlines and Group Services.

Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation Authority, President and CEO of Emirates Airlines and Group, emphasized the key role of the new appointments for the group’s growing business.

He said: “Both Saeed and Yousuf are successful in the organization and their promotions are not only well-deserved, but also validate our ongoing efforts to develop and inspire UAE talent. Their experience, industry knowledge and ability to achieve excellent results make them ideal leaders. I am confident that in their new roles they will continue to support the development of the various units of the Emirates Group and strive for operational excellence.”

Mohammed joined the company in 2001 as general manager of aircraft procurement. During this time, he played an active role in the expansion program for both aircraft and engine purchases. He was promoted to Senior Vice President and Director of Procurement and Logistics for Emirates Airlines and Group Services.

Mohammad Ali joined the company in 2011 as Vice President Procurement and Logistics, taking over responsibility for non-aviation services for the Emirates Group. He was responsible for planning and implementing a group-wide strategy of best practices in procurement methods and logistics.
