Dovetail Landing announces key leadership nominations to support Alabama veterans

LINCOLN, Ala. – Dovetail Landing, a facility serving Alabama veterans and their families, announced the addition of key leadership positions to its Board of Directors and the appointment of an executive director.

Robert Holmes, a retired U.S. Air Force brigadier general, has been named executive director. Holmes, a decorated combat veteran and career special operations officer, brings more than four decades of leadership experience to the role.

While working with RadioAlabama, Holmes also hosts Bull Gap Journal, an award-winning public affairs show that talks to community leaders about life, leadership and common sense.

Chad Jones, president and CEO of First Bank of Alabama, has been named chairman of the board. Jones is a prominent figure in Alabama’s banking industry, known for his community involvement, which fits perfectly with Dovetail Landing’s mission.

Judge Philip Seay, presiding judge of the St. County Circuit Court. Clair, will serve as vice-chairman of the board. With more than two decades of judicial service, Seay is respected for his commitment to public service and the citizens of Central Alabama.

Alana Centilli, whose vision led to the founding of Dovetail Landing, has been appointed Secretary of the Board. Alana Centilli and her husband Pat are known for traveling with their son Daniel, a Marine Corps veteran. Centilla’s commitment to preserving her son’s legacy drives Dovetail Landing’s mission.

These leaders share a commitment to Dovetail Landing and supporting veterans as they transition to civilian life. Located on 57 acres in Lincoln, the organization provides services including employee training, mental health assistance and VA benefits counseling.

“We believe Dovetail Landing is ideally positioned to respond to the serious national health crisis affecting our returning veterans,” Centilli said. “This is a project of the heart for me, fueled by love and determination to make a difference.”
