One UI 6.1 and May update available for more Galaxy devices

Samsung is rolling out new updates for several Galaxy devices. Galaxy Tab S7 FE and Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro will receive One UI 6.1, while Galaxy S20 FE, Galaxy A25, Galaxy A73, Galaxy A23 and Galaxy A32 will receive the May security update. With this release, the company is almost done pushing One UI 6.1 and the new security patch to all eligible models.

Galaxy Tab S7 FE and Tab Active 4 Pro receive One UI 6.1

Launched in May 2021 with Android 11, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE is entering its final year of official support. Samsung has updated the tablet to Android 12, Android 13, and Android 14. While it won’t get Android 15, the company is pushing One UI 6.1 on the device. It may also receive One UI 6.1.1 after the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in July.

The One UI 6.1 update for Galaxy Tab S7 FE includes the firmware version number T733XXU6DXE1, T735NKOU5DXE1Or T736NKOU5DXE1 depending on the model, i.e. Wi-Fi, LTE and 5G models respectively. At the time of writing, it appears that Samsung has only released the update in its home country, South Korea. It should expand to other regions soon.

Galaxy Tab S7 FE doesn’t get any AI features in One UI 6.1. However, the update brings other improvements to the device, including improved multitasking. The same applies to the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro, which will initially receive the new One UI version in South Korea. The update is available for the Wi-Fi variant with a build number T636NKOU6CXE3.

Four Galaxy A devices will receive the May security update

A few days ago, Samsung released the May security patch for the American version of the Galaxy S20 FE. The Fan Edition phone is now receiving the update in international markets. The new SMR (Security Maintenance Release) is available in Europe with a firmware version G781BXXSBHXE5. The 4G model will receive this update in Asia and Australia with a build number G780GXXSAEXE5.

The May security update is now also available for four A-series phones: Galaxy A25, Galaxy A73, Galaxy A23 and Galaxy A32. The new firmware version numbers for these phones are: A256NKSS2AXE3, A736BXXS8EXE4, A236VSQS4CXE3AND A325NKSS6DXE2 appropriately. Updates are available in various parts of the world. Samsung will support all eligible devices worldwide in the coming weeks. This month’s security update patches more than 50 security vulnerabilities, including three critical vulnerabilities in the Android operating system.
