In the Industrial and Specialty segment, net sales declined 4% year-over-year to $226 million, with organic net sales declining 3%. This amount was lower than our estimate of $250.5 million.

Financial position

Element Solutions ended the quarter with cash and cash equivalents of $286.3 million, down approximately 1% from the prior quarter. At the end of the quarter, long-term debt amounted to USD 1,918.9 million and remained unchanged.

Cash from operations was $58 million and free cash flow was $39 million in the reported quarter.

Perspectives

The company currently expects adjusted EBITDA in the range of $515 million to $530 million for 2024. In the second quarter of 2024, adjusted EBITDA will be approximately $125 million.

The company expects to generate free cash flow of $280 million to $300 million in 2024.
