For Parts Town, innovation means more frequent and faster same-day delivery

As part of our continued commitment to innovation, Parts Town Unlimited is improving its delivery services.

To help its customers reduce downtime caused by broken kitchen and HVAC equipment, the foodservice and HVAC parts distributor has expanded its same-day parts delivery service to a 50-mile radius — often within two hours — from more than 130 locations across the United States. States.

Parts Town provides the expanded service through a strategic partnership with Roadie, a UPS company specializing in logistics management. Roadie operates as a crowdsourced delivery platform for last-mile deliveries.

Parts Town uses Roadie to enable customers to order Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts from more than 130 Parts In Town warehouse and service locations throughout the United States. Parts In Town is an online marketplace at PartsTown.com where customers can purchase parts and services from PartsTown. The city service center closest to their facility.

The expanded same-day delivery service covers products ordered from Parts Town’s largest distribution center at its home base in Addison, Illinois, ensuring deliveries to the entire city of Chicago in as little as two hours, according to Roadie and Parts Town.

Increased first time fix rate

Parts Town says it has developed expedited delivery with Roadie to help service technicians increase “first time fix rates” and reduce equipment downtime for customers.

“Expanding our same-day delivery radius is a step change in the ultra-fast availability of OEM parts locally,” says Emanuela Delgado, who holds the dual title of group vice president of Revolution and senior vice president of growth and innovation for the City Without Limits parts division. “This partnership is the latest example of our commitment to not only ensuring that genuine OEM parts reach our customers quickly and smoothly, but also to provide service technicians and our end customers with the tools to increase first-attempt repairs and reduce equipment downtime.”

Over the past few years, Parts Town has worked to build a reputation for innovation through technologies and services such as the AI-powered PartPredictor tool, which helps customers proactively manage equipment repairs using spare parts; mobile application for placing and tracking orders and accessing instructions; and a robotics-based automated distribution system.

Last year, Parts Town reported revenue of $2.3 billion, up from $1.8 billion in 2022.

“We are a distribution company, but we are really more of a digital technology company that does distribution,” Delgado said.
