Live Nation is facing an antitrust lawsuit from the Department of Justice

The Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Live Nation, an event promoter and venue operator, accusing it of creating a “monopoly” on US ticket prices.

With this lawsuit, the Department of Justice intends to separate Live Nation and Ticketmaster after approving the merger of the two companies in 2010.

Live Nation argues that the company is not a monopoly.
