Longmont skimming devices

Longmont police are asking local businesses to thoroughly check customer payment terminals for skimming devices.

According to a department post on Facebook, skimming devices were found in multiple stores in Longmont over Memorial Day weekend.

Police ask that if anyone finds the devices to contact the department at 303-651-8555.

According to the post, a skimming device is a secret device used to illegally capture data from a credit or debit card. In such cases, devices captured data from swiped cards.
