Pye-Barker closes out May with two acquisitions

ATLANTA — Pye-Barker Fire & Safety recently made several additional acquisitions, ending May.

May 29^volPye-Barker has acquired Security Solutions Inc., a provider of security, alarm and surveillance systems serving the Norwalk, Connecticut area.

As a family-owned and operated business for over 30 years, Security Solutions has established a presence with clients from Greenwich to New Haven. Security Solutions Inc., founded and operated by the Orvis family. (SSI) offers security alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, access control and 24-7 monitoring. Current President James “Jamie” Orvis is known for his leadership in the Electronic Security Association (ESA), which awarded him its 2009 Person of the Year Award, and in the Alarm Industry Research and Education Foundation (AIREF), where he founded the AIREF Golf Classic to fund industry research and training.

“The Orvis family has transformed Security Solutions Inc. from a small alarm supplier to a leading systems integration company, staying at the forefront of new technologies and building a team whose competence comes from continuous training,” said Bart Proctor, CEO of Pye-Barker. “The SSI team will be a great addition to Pye-Barker as we work toward the unified goal of protecting every community.”

Pye-Barker said that by joining SSI, it will be able to provide new communities with a full suite of fire protection and security alarm services.

Just prior to the SSI acquisition, Pye-Barker also acquired Scott Fire Protection, a sprinkler installation company based near Reno, Nevada.

Pye-Barker said the SSI team will continue to serve customers in Connecticut.
