Infant formula sold in Texas has been recalled

PROSPER, Texas – A Prosper, Texas-based dairy manufacturer has voluntarily recalled Crecelac and Farmalac infant formula brands because the products did not comply with FDA regulations.

  • The recalled products include Crecelac Infant (0-12 years), Farmalac (0-12 years) and Farmalac Low Lactose (0-12 years) sold in Texas
  • People who purchased the recalled products are asked to stop using them and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Products affected by the recall include:

  • Crecelac Infant 0-12, UPC 8 50042 40847 6, expiration date 08/2025, 09/2025

  • Farmalac 0-12, UPC 8 50042 40841 4, expiry date 08/2025, 09/2025

  • Farmalac 0-12 Low lactose, UPC 8 50042 40839 1, expiration date 08/2025, 09/2025

The recalled products were sold only in Texas at the retail level. The affected products were sold in 12.4-ounce cans.

Dairy Producers, Inc. announced the recall on Friday. They are urging those who purchased the recalled products to stop using them and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or concern this may cause and assure our customers that we are taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety, quality and compliance of our products,” the company said in a statement.
