May 30 (UPI) — E-commerce giant Amazon and online service provider Grubhub have announced that they are expanding their partnership to include Grubhub ordering through Amazon and an ongoing subscription to the paid Grubhub tier included with Prime membership.

Under the expanded partnership, Amazon customers in the United States can place restaurant orders through Grubhub on Amazon.com and the Amazon Shopping app, and customers will receive ongoing Grubhub+ memberships as part of their Amazon Prime subscription.

Grubhub+ membership waives delivery fees on eligible orders over $12, reduced service fees, and 5% cash back on pickup orders.

In 2022, Amazon entered into its first partnership with Grubhub, offering its Prime members a free one-year subscription to the mobile delivery service.

The new deal extends this offer for as long as users continue to subscribe to Prime.

“We know Prime members value savings on food delivery, so we’re expanding free $0 delivery and exclusive savings with Grubhub+ to Prime members, and now customers can enjoy easy access to Grubhub from the Amazon store and app,” Jamil Ghani, vice president of Amazon Prime,” the statement said.

Howard Migdal, Grubhub’s CEO, said the deal will provide greater convenience for Amazon customers who place restaurant orders through its extensive network of restaurants across the country.

“More consumers can now experience the exceptional value and service offered by Grubhub+, and Prime members can enjoy $0 delivery fees on an ongoing basis.”
