Stock Market Sectors: Stock Market Update: Shares fall in value as the market falls

NEW DELHI: Power stocks fell during Thursday’s session.

RattanIndia Power Ltd. (up 4.89%), Adani Power Ltd. (up 2.82%), Inox Wind Ltd. (up 1.40%), Adani Energy Solutions Ltd. (up 1.28 %), GE T&D India Ltd. (up 1.08%) The best gainers were JSW Energy Ltd. (up 0.80%), Jyoti Structures Ltd. (up 0.76%) and Voltamp Transformers Ltd. (up by 0.51%).

Karma Energy Ltd. (down 4.98%), Indowind Energy Ltd. (down 4.96%), PTC India Ltd. (down 4.31%), SJVN Ltd. (down 4.30%) , India Power Corporation Ltd. (down 4.18%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 3.47%), Inox Wind Energy Ltd. (down 3.41%), Indo Tech Transformers Ltd. (down 3.01%), Energy Development Company Ltd. (down 2.87%) and GE Power India Ltd. (down 2.78%) were among the biggest losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended the session down 216.05 points at 22,488.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex ended down 617.3 points at 73,885.6.

ICICI Bank Ltd. (up 1.07%), Axis Bank Ltd. (up 0.71%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (up 0.44%), State Bank of India (up 0.39%) ), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (up 0.14%) and Bharti Airtel Ltd. (up 0.01%) were among the top gainers on the Nifty. In turn, Tata Steel Ltd. (down 5.8%), Tech Mahindra Ltd. (down 3.55%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 3.47%), Titan Company Ltd. (down by 3.22%), Wipro Ltd. (down by 3.08%), Shriram Finance Ltd. (down by 3.03%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (down by 2.92%), Nestle India Ltd. (down 2.89%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (down 2.8%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (down 2.33%) ended the session in the red.
