EMF reveals plans for latest acquisitions

On March 21, the parent organization of the ubiquitous non-commercial contemporary Christian music networks K-LOVE and Air1 announced that it was acquiring four FM radio stations from Salem Media Group in a deal valued at $7 million.

Now the deal, brokered by Mark Jorgenson, has been finalized and Educational Media Foundation shares program plans for its newest facilities.

in Nashville, WFFH-FM 94.1 On May 1, he moved from the CCM “Fish” brand in Salem to Air1 Worship now, which will still be heard on W223BV at 92.5 MHz. This significantly expands Air1’s coverage area in the Nashville area.

Similarly, “Fish” also disappeared KAIM-FM 95.5 in Honolulu, where Air1 replaced the Salem program.

What about the other two fish serving Music City USA? In Murfreesboro, Tennessee, WBOZ-FM 104.9 will now serve as a K-LOVE member station.

This expands coverage previously provided by EMF’s WLVU-FM 97.1 in the Nashville area, licensed to Belle Meade, Tenn.

Plans for WFFI 93.7 FM are still ongoing, EMF said.

“For many of us, Christian music is an integral part of everyday life,” he said David Pierce, media director at EMF. “It is an honor to pick up the torch from our colleagues at The Fish and continue to share Christian music.”

Meanwhile, K-LOVE’s new headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, is scheduled to open in late summer 2024, EMF reported.

There were also no updates on the role of the CEO at EMF; the country’s largest Christian broadcaster will soon have its third new CEO in six years, following the resignation of Todd Woods earlier this month.
