We are recruiting: Policy Advisor (Energy)

Are you a creative and analytical thinker, able to work flexibly and collaboratively on complex policy issues, and build productive working relationships with stakeholders in government and industry, as well as with colleagues? Are you interested in helping shape policy for the country’s long-term transition away from a reliance on fossil fuels towards a fully renewable energy system? If so, this new role on our Energy team may be right for you.

Based in our Leeds office, as a new member of the policy team, this role will suit someone who is comfortable delving into the details of issues – delving into both quantitative and qualitative evidence – and is able to communicate this clearly and concisely to a range of different audiences. You will be part of our policy team, made up of colleagues from a variety of private and public sector backgrounds. By initially working on our electricity distribution network study, you will have plenty of opportunity to work on other aspects of the Commission’s energy work.

The deadline for submitting applications is expired Sunday, June 23. More information about the position and the application process can be found on the Civil Service Jobs page.
