Northwestern Releases CFB Lakeside Interim Stadium Concept for 2024-2025

A conceptual photo of Northwestern’s temporary lakeside stadium for the 2024 and 2025 football seasons has been released, according to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg.

Rittenberg provided more information on this topic.

“Some elements of the facility, including technology and the fan experience, are still in the design phase,” Rittenberg wrote.

“The facility will accommodate approximately 15,000 spectators, and the selection of seats will begin on June 10. The coaches’ booths and press box will be located on the west side of the stadium.”

Matt Fortuna of The Inside Zone did this as well.

Northwestern needed a new home with its old one, Ryan Field, which is currently undergoing a remodel. The Wildcats are scheduled to begin play there in 2026.

The Wildcats will play their first five games of 2024 in a temporary stadium, starting in Miami, Ohio on August 31. The final two home games (Ohio State on November 16 and Illinois on November 30) will be played at Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs.
