Oberon Fuels appoints the first chief advisor on the scale of the use of renewable fuels

An experienced energy expert joins us Oberon the expanded executive team will accelerate deals to decarbonize propane and scale hydrogen infrastructure

SAN DIEGO, May 30, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Currently a producer of renewable fuels Oberon’s fuel announced his appointment Eric Stein as the company’s first-ever in-house legal counsel. Stein will serve in the newly created position of general counsel, senior vice president Oberon first in-house lawyer to help the company create legal structures and negotiate contracts for a range of new renewable fuels to accelerate commercialization in various locations and markets.

Stein brings extensive experience in navigating the unique regulatory requirements of the energy and fuel sectors. Before joining Oberonserved as general counsel at Our Next Energy (ONE), an energy storage company that aims to double the range of traditional electric vehicles. Previously, he was vice president and general counsel at South Jersey Industries, an energy services holding company that owns two natural gas utilities and invests in renewable natural gas infrastructure projects. He holds a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University and B.A Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Except for Stein’s nomination Oberon promoted Jeffrey Wright as vice president for project development. Thanks to Wright’s efforts Oberon has a significant number of projects in development. Wright was from Oberon since 2021, he has been the Supply Development Director. In this new position, Wright will work across relevant industries such as agriculture and waste management and supply chains to develop relationships, acquire manufacturing sites and raw materials, and develop new manufacturing opportunities, partnerships and projects.

Oberon is constantly expanding its executive team. Stein and Wright join CFO Anna Antonichief executive officer Darek Winkeland vice president of project engineering Karan Dawra, who joined the company at the end of 2023.
