GreenGo receives approval for the first photovoltaic power plant in the Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia

The PAS notice was published in the Official Bulletin of the Region (BUR) on April 18, marking GreenGo’s first significant milestone in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region and consolidating the company’s presence in northern Italy.

“We are pleased to have planted our first flag in Friuli-Venezia Giulia as part of the Marianne project,” said Giovanna La Piana, director of permits at GreenGo. “This result represents an important step in our geographical expansion on the Italian Peninsula, which will continue in the coming months in order to better diversify the distribution of plants not only in terms of technology but also geographical location, given the regulatory instability we have recently been experiencing in regions such as like Sardinia, where our company has decided not to operate.”

In this way, GreenGo achieves a concrete result in the ninth region of Italy, aiming to further strengthen its presence in the Northeast and continuing, day by day, to work to exceed expectations in the field of renewable energies, stimulating the development and initiating the construction of utility-scale power plants that respect the environment and contribute to decarbonization and reduction of CO2 emissions.

“We strongly believe that the development of renewable energy sources for the Italian energy transition must be based on a stable regulatory framework that promotes technologies that have a positive impact on reducing electricity costs for the system and consumers,” added Fabio Amico, director of business development at GreenGo . “We are currently focused on announcing the PNRR Agrivoltaics tender in June, where we intend to nominate several projects.”
