CABSAT 2024 highlights advancements in satellite technology at the SATExpo summit

The conference will provide participants with comprehensive insight into a variety of topics, including commercial and enterprise communications services, government and military services, ground systems and equipment, and space data.

The SATExpo Summit at CABSAT serves as a gathering place for satellite technology enthusiasts, telecommunications experts and satellite service providers to showcase cutting-edge solutions and discuss the latest developments in the satcom field. SATExpo aims to showcase innovations aimed at improving connectivity, expanding coverage and closing the digital divide, from high-throughput satellites to next-generation launch technologies.

For the past decade, SATExpo has been a driving force in the satellite and space communities, facilitating strategic partnerships and meaningful conversations. The conference will provide participants with in-depth knowledge on topics such as commercial/enterprise communications services, government and military services, ground systems, and space equipment and data. This year, industry experts and executives will be present at SATExpo to facilitate discussions on global launch and manufacturing markets, future trends and trajectories, and business strategies of leading companies.

The executive discussion will shed light on end-user markets, emerging technologies, financial insights, technical content and regional focus. The conference is of great importance to stakeholders, especially as the Middle East satellite communications market is expected to grow from an estimated $3.35 billion in 2024 to $4.79 billion by 2029, at a compound annual growth rate of 7 .40% in 2024–2029.

Additionally, several sessions will discuss various trends and developments such as “Satellite and HAPS: Transformative Technology Disruptions, Service Resilience”, “Into the Blue: Flying and Sailing with Satcoms” and “Turning Constellations in Networks – A New Connectivity Architecture for Middle East region”, among others.

This year’s SATExpo summit will also focus on how we can and should responsibly use space exploration to support future life on Earth. This comes in light of the significant and long-term impact the satellite industry has on our future, offering services that can help us monitor the planet effectively and purposefully.

CABSAT 2024 will be an influential platform for stakeholders, strengthening its position as the region’s largest gathering of the media, broadcasting and satellite industries. This will be reinforced by conversations and debates on the social and environmental responsibility of the media industry, innovations in the satellite industry and other global innovations that will influence the future of the industry.
