ONE PIECE S-Snake card game

ONE PIECE S-Snake card game

A cloned version of Boa Hancock, S-Snake, was introduced as one of the seven Seraphim who would replace the Seven Sea Lords as one of the Three Great Powers. Like her counterparts, she was introduced during the ongoing Egghead arc in the One Piece manga. Its current role in the latest plot developments is therefore one of the key reasons for the high value of this card from the newly released ONE PIECE Two Legends (OP-08) trading card game set.

Another part of the appeal of the card and character is the connection to Boa Hancock. Pirate Captain Kuja has always been a fan favorite, especially among the demographic that makes up the majority of the overall One Piece fan base. As such, Hancock has appeared on some of the rarest and most valuable ONE PIECE trading card game cards ever.

This Super Rare (SR-P) card takes advantage of this association, clearly highlighting the Hancock-related aspects of S-Snake. Her earrings and hair, which resemble Hancock, are clearly visible in the illustration. Another such reference is the heart motif present throughout the painting; refers to the Love-Love Fruit, Hancock’s Devil Fruit, whose S-Snake has the same powers – albeit an Artificial Zoan version.

As is often the case, the fact that this card features a female character increases the demand for it. However, in the case of S-Snake, it’s a slightly different scenario than usual, as much of her popularity is tied to the much greater popularity of the character she was cloned from.

The release date for this card in English has not yet been announced.

The price of the S-Snake (Two Legends (OP-08) OP08-112) card with the SR-P rarity is ¥2,900 (~$18).
