Clark International Airport Corp (CIAC) CEO Arrey Perez recently encouraged global aerospace companies to open facilities in the Philippines to serve the Asian region and the global market.

He participated in meetings with leading players in the aviation and technology industries during the 9thvol Last month at the International Aerospace Innovation Forum in Canada, Perez outlined Clark’s market attractiveness, describing the area as “a very profitable and attractive center for foreign investors in the aerospace industry.”

This is especially true for those looking for strategic partners that can meet the growing demand for aviation jobs to meet current demand and future growth, he said.

Clark currently hosts aerospace investors such as maintenance, repair and overhaul giant SIA Engineering, which maintains airframes; Metrojet Ltd of Hong Kong, which operates business jets; and Lufthansa Technik, which will soon build new hangars here.

Clark is also home to global shipping leaders UPS, DHL and FedEx.

Perez said the establishment of Clark as the Philippines’ premier aviation and space hub will redefine the aviation landscape by providing opportunities and empowering the next generation of aviation professionals.

He added that the development of the Clark airport would create thousands of aviation-related jobs.

Among the country’s advantages that Perez cited are human resources consisting of qualified English-speaking engineers and skilled workers, extensive experience in the electronics and automotive industries, and duty-free access to key markets under preferential trade agreements.

The 9th edition was attended by over 1,700 participants from 19 countriesvol International Space Innovation Forum organized by Aero Montreal and the Government of Quebec on May 21 and 22. During the two-day event, 145 speakers took part and over 800 meetings took place.

Quebec is the third largest aerospace manufacturing center in the world.
