Catalano’s View Media Group lists MD, financial services

Antoni Catalano‘s View Media Group has made five executive appointments, including Hay Rowlands as Managing Director of Financial Services to oversee VMG’s partnership with ANZ and develop its brokerage offering.

Rowlands has been part of VMG’s strategy team for the past 12 months. Prior to joining VMG, she worked at Domain as director of commercial strategy, planning and development, and at Different, a scaling technology company in the real estate management space.

Catalano, group executive chairman, said: “Our partnership with ANZ Bank is a key differentiator of our business strategy and provides us with the opportunity to make a serious play in the financial services space, and the changes announced today enable the company to maximize this opportunity and future growth.”

Damon Pezaro will oversee the group’s product strategy and development as Chief Product Officer.

Pezaro has experience at Domain, where he led product development. Since leaving Domain in 2017, he has worked at numerous companies as a Chief Product Officer and has continuously served as a non-executive director at several successful startups.

Jordy Catalano will move from the role of product director to the position of director of services and consumer markets.

Barrie Bowles has been appointed Director of Digital and Data Solutions for the entire View Media Group and will lead the digital and data strategy for the company. He is stepping down from his role as digital leader of real estate and technology agency The Today Business.

The newly created role focuses on increasing the number of recipients of existing assets and maximizing digital and data capabilities and opportunities for VMG companies, partners and clients.

Emily Rayner will lead content for VMG, with an initial focus on view.com.au content strategy as head of content.

Rayner is a digital content specialist with over twenty years of experience in media production and content management, ensuring audience engagement and brand development across multiple platforms.

Her career includes key roles on major television networks such as the BBC, ITV, Southern Cross Austereo and Nova. Rayner also played a key role in the development of Domain’s content strategy and served as executive editor at Domain Group, overseeing Domain Prestige, Commercial Property and Domain Weekly Review until 2018.

Rowlands, Pezaro and Rayner also worked at Domain, Catalano’s former employer.

Earlier this week, ACM Catalano offered to buy its assets to SCA in the latest takeover proposal circulating around the radio company.
