Shopsy sees 60% increase in customers during Mega Shopping Dhamaka sale

Shopsy offered over 160 million products with free shipping, and 41% of new users were first-time shoppers

Bangalore: Shopsy, Flipkart’s hugely valuable e-commerce platform, saw a 60% increase in new customers and a 50% increase in daily demand during the first Dhamaka Mega Shopping Sale held from May 16 to 19, the company said in a press release on Thursday.

“Our first-ever Mega Shopping Dhamaka was a way to bring the excitement of affordable shopping and great prices right to your doorstep, and the overwhelming response is a testament to the trust our customers have in us,” said Kapil Thirani, CEO of Shopsy.

T-shirts, sarees and bedsheets were the most popular, while huge demand was seen from category 2 and 3 cities, with Cuttack, Guwahati, Gorakhpur, Mysore and Salem being the largest suppliers.

During the sale, Shopsy offered products such as lipsticks under Rs. 45, artificial plants under Rs. 45, choppers and containers under Rs. 95, and other limited-time offers where select products were offered for as low as Rs. .

Consumers were assured that the parcel would be delivered to their home within six days.
