VINCI takes over Helios Nordic Energy

VINCI Concessions, through its subsidiary SunMind, has concluded an agreement to acquire 100% of the Swedish company Helios specializing in the construction of photovoltaic farms and batteries for energy storage. It operates in Northern Europe (mainly in Sweden and the Baltic countries) and develops projects until they are ready for implementation.

Currently, Helios is 40% owned by the Norwegian investment fund Magnora ASA, and Helios’s shareholders also include the company’s management staff and several minority investors.

The amount agreed on for 100% equity was EUR 73 million, which represents part of Helios’ revenues over the next five years.

The transaction is expected to close in June, subject to regulatory approvals.

This acquisition will enable SunMind to expand its expertise in renewable solar energy. In Sweden, the company is currently developing a 100 MWp photovoltaic project at Skavsta Airport, previously managed by VINCI Airports. The company also operates in France, Portugal and Great Britain.
