Hitachi Rail acquires Thales’ ground transport systems for EUR 1,660 million

Hitachi Rail today announced the completion of the acquisition of Thales’ ground transportation systems (GTS) business for €1,660 million, expanding its global presence to 51 countries, with the majority of its revenue now derived from signaling and higher return systems.
