Black-owned small businesses on Pinterest and Shopify are joining forces

In a significant move to support Black-owned small businesses, Pinterest and Shopify have renewed their partnership to provide essential resources to help these businesses thrive. This collaboration is part of Pinterest’s incubator program, which since its inception in 2021 has played a key role in helping more than 150 content creators from underrepresented communities.

Empowering diverse creators

Currently, the program is expanding its reach to independent publishers and boutique creator agencies, giving them the opportunity to take advantage of the program’s resources. The initiative focuses on upskilling content producers with the tools needed to improve organic content and grow on the Pinterest platform.

Unlocking your potential on Pinterest

With a staggering $1.5 billion in weekly savings, Pinterest opens up a world of opportunities for content producers to improve their ideas and products. The platform’s huge audience of over half a billion users who actively search, save and shop provides fertile ground for companies to expand their reach.

Shopify’s role in collaboration

Shopify, an e-commerce leader, will serve as an industry expert throughout the program. The company will help select final trade recipients and conduct a training session during which it will share its industry insights. Participants will learn how to connect a Shopify storefront to a Pinterest business account, maximizing the value of their brand.

Comprehensive support for participants

Selected recipients can expect a suite of support services, including individual educational resources, training, mentorship and monetary support in the form of cash and advertising credits. Additionally, they will receive a one-year paid subscription to content scheduling platforms such as Tailwind, which will further enhance their ability to manage and grow their online presence.
