Stock Sectors: Stock Market Update: Mining Stocks Fall as Sensex Rise

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading lower at 10:14 am on Friday

Lexus Granito(India) Ltd. (up 1.80%), Oriental Trimex Ltd. (up 1.00%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd. (up 0.69%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. ( an increase of 0.63%) and NMDC Ltd. (an increase of 0.53%) were among those who gained the most.

The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd. (down 3.54%), Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd. (down 1.97%), MOIL Ltd. (down 1.46%), Pokarna Ltd. (down 1 .31%), Ashapura Minechem Ltd. (down 1.17%) %), the biggest losers were KIOCL Ltd. (down 0.90%), 20 Microns Ltd. (down 0.51%), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd. (down 0.37%) and Coal India Ltd. (down 0.34%).

The NSE Nifty50 index rose 52.75 points to 22,541.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 221.82 points to 74,107.42 at around 10:14 am.

Adani Enterprises Ltd. (up 2.87%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (up 2.29%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (up 1.91%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (up 1, 68%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (up 1.58%), Titan Company Ltd. (up 1.29%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (up 1.02%), ITC Ltd . (up 0.98%), Tata Steel Ltd. (up 0.71%) and Shriram Finance Ltd. (up 0.65%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

Meanwhile, LTIMindtree Ltd. (down 1.8%), Infosys Ltd. (down 1.73%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (down 1.13%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (down 1, 08%), Cipla Ltd. (down 1.08%) 0.94%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 0.92%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 0.88%) , Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (down 0.84%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 0.79%) and Bharti Company Airtel Ltd. (down 0.6%) were trading in the red.
