Morinaga Nutritional Foods Vietnam is increasing its range of products aimed at the nutritional needs of children and the elderly, aiming to capitalize on trends “unique” to the country.

According to Uechi Naoto, deputy general manager and executive director (corporate division) of the company, compared to neighboring ASEAN countries, Vietnam has a larger market for nutritional drinks, supplements and yogurt.

“We understand that customer spending on healthy eating is high, we also believe that there is a greater demand for health products for children and parents… which is a very unique feature of Vietnam.” ​he said, discussing the reasons for the company’s interest in child nutrition.
