Nigerians must reflect on the words of the national anthem for peace – Ichita

As Nigeria implements a change to its national anthem, the National Director of the German Knowledge Transfer Initiative e.V., Hon. Obinna Ichita has urged the government and people of Nigeria to reflect on the wording of the national anthem to build a peaceful and prosperous homeland where no one is oppressed.

“This model is consistent with the president’s 4-D diplomacy and will most likely produce a predictable outcome as discussions replace agitation.”

He used the occasion to also congratulate the Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, on the successful celebration of the first anniversary of his inauguration as Governor of Abia State and prayed that his administration would boost the economic development of Abia City and showcase to the world authorities the entrepreneurial ingenuity of the Abia people, stating: “The state’s infrastructural development under his supervision is commendable and represents a visible change on the development path.

“Finally, it makes no sense to claim that multiplicity of views is one of the hallmarks of modern democracy. Therefore, constructive criticism of public policies should be formulated in such a way that it serves as a feedback mechanism for the government, as it must be devoid of unjustified personal attacks on leaders,” he said.
