Park City is looking for help registering life-saving devices

Automatic external defibrillators, or AEDs, are medical devices that help people who have suffered sudden cardiac arrest. They analyze a person’s heart rhythm and deliver an electric shock to bring it back to normal.

However, the locations of these life-saving devices are often missing, inaccurate, or not detailed enough to be found in an emergency. That’s why the Park City Police Department is working with the Summit County Sheriff’s Office to register these devices using an application called PulsePoint. In the app, companies or organizations can enter information about the location of the AED and any accessibility issues.

Businesses and organizations with questions can contact Summit County Sheriff’s Communications Director Gus Sandahl at [email protected].
