Matt Garman, a nearly 18-year Amazon veteran, was announced last month as Adam Selipsky’s successor at the helm of AWS. Joining AWS full-time in 2006 as one of its first product managers, Garman played a key role in shaping AWS into the cloud computing powerhouse it is today.

“I have been fortunate to work on many different aspects of the AWS business, but one constant has been the world-class talent and unwavering customer obsession of the people I worked with,” he says. “I am more optimistic than ever about the potential for innovation and growth that lies ahead, and I look forward to helping us move faster, invent more and work as one team to help our customers.”
