Flipkart expects over 10 million new guests under ‘Great End of Season Sale’

E-commerce major Flipkart has stated that it expects over 10 million new customers through its ‘Big End of Season Sale’ (Big EOSS) starting from June 1, 2024. T

The event will showcase a selection from over 12,000 brands and two million retailers, with open box delivery options across categories such as sports footwear, watches and jeans. Same day delivery will be available for over one lakh products.

“This gives us the opportunity to bring joy to our customers as we continue to focus on offering the best quality and widest range of fashionable styles from top brands. The Big EOSS shopping extravaganza has not only delighted customers across India but has also delivered positive growth for sellers and brands on our platform. Our goal is to offer the latest and greatest fashion – apparel, footwear and accessories – all available through personalized in-app experiences,” said Arief Mohamad, VP and Chief Fashion Officer, Flipkart.

“Big EOSS will also offer Gen Z products curated on the ‘SPOYL’ platform and delivered to every possible PAN India PIN,” he added.

While making purchases, customers can avail various banking offers which include 10% instant discount on credit cards and credit card EMIs from RBL Bank, BOB Bank and HSBC Bank (with minimum order value of ₹2,500). They can also avail Flipkart UPI offers on minimum order value of ₹200.

New trends that the platform noticed were that new customers showed interest in categories such as sports shoes, luggage, watches, ethnic suits; while existing customers prefer styles across categories such as jeans, casual shoes, shirts, t-shirts and tops.

Notably, Tier 3 regions showed a significant increase in demand for men’s footwear compared to 2023.
