The Farm Equipment Business (FES) of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a Mahindra Group company, today announced tractor sales figures for May 2024. Domestic sales for May 2024 were at 35,237 units as against 33,113 units in May 2023.

Total tractor sales (domestic + export) in May 2024 were 37,109 units compared to 34,126 units in the same period last year. Exports for the month amounted to 1,872 units.

Commenting on the results, Hemant Sikka, President, Agricultural Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “We sold 35,237 tractors in the domestic market in May 24, an increase of 6% over last year. Coupled with the timely arrival of southwest monsoon in Kerala and northeastern states and the forecast of above-normal monsoon, the sentiment of farmers on the ground has improved. The land preparation work for Kharif crops is expected to start on time, which is likely to increase the demand for tractors in the coming months. On the export market, thanks to OAU exports to the USA, we sold 1,872 tractors, which is an increase of 85% compared to last year.
