The The Asus ROG Ally X presentation broadcast will take place on Sunday, June 2 at 9:30 a.m. BST / 4:30 a.m. EDT / 1:30 a.m. PDT, the day before the start of Computex 2024. Although the broadcast does not take place during the actual Computex, the stream does include the name Computex in the title, suggesting that we will learn more details about the handheld device during the event. Our expectations for Computex 2024 to see the device live are also quite high.

Full presentation of Asus ROG Ally X: specifications leaked

Given that the full specifications of the device have already been leaked via VideoCardz, it looks likely that the new Asus ROG Ally X will feature the same APU that was in the original, which received a perfect rating in our review, but the new device will greater memory and capacity.

  • Editor: AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme
  • Operating system: Windows 11
  • Memory: 24 GB LDDR5 7500 MHz RAM
  • Storage: 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD with MicroSD slot for expansion
  • Libra: 678 grams
  • Display: 7 inches, 120 Hz, 1080p, touchscreen
  • Sound: Two front-firing speakers powered by Dolby Atmos

According to leaks, the device is also slightly heavier (the original weighed 608g), which will likely accommodate the additional technology it now includes. Instead of the white casing we saw on the original Asus ROG Ally, the new X Edition will have a black casing, which is rather disappointing as I thought the color was a great point of differentiation from other handhelds. However, for those who prefer an all-black setup, this will likely be good news.
