Demirkol emphasized: “The increase in employment in the information and communication sector is significant for the country’s economy. I expect employment in this sector to grow in the future in line with increasing demands.”

Moreover, he stressed the need for further support to the sector to facilitate Turkey’s transition to the league of developed countries. This includes equipping the workforce with the essential skills required in the face of digital transformation and technology. Demirkol advocated for increased funding and support for ecosystems, as well as the inclusion of subjects such as software and coding in the curriculum.

The remarkable growth in paid employment in the information and communications sector in Turkey not only highlights its key role in the country’s economic landscape, but also signals a promising trajectory as Türkiye enters the digital age.
