Special Marshall warns car owners against covering their license plates

Car owners in Bauchi State have been reminded that covering the number plates of their cars is a violation of traffic laws and regulations in the country.

The reminder was made by members of the Special Marshal of the Bauchi State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) during the June monthly meeting held on Saturday.

The Special Marshal observed with dismay the manner and manner in which car owners, especially political officials and associates of political officials, were violating traffic rules as if they were above the laws of the land.

They have therefore decided, in cooperation with the Regular Marshal, to impose sanctions on all those who fail to fulfill their obligations in accordance with the relevant road traffic regulations in force in the country.

The Special Marshal members wondered why anyone would cover the number plates of their car when even the Governor does not do so.

“Persons committing such acts of disobedience to traffic laws are therefore forced to stop as if stopped they will be forced to face the full wrath of the law.”

Members of the Special Marshal also warned that from now on his weekly patrols would focus on covered license plates, urging people to cooperate.

The Deputy Coordinator of the State Special Marshal, Godwin Obioha, who presided over the meeting, congratulated the members for their cooperation, encouraging them to maintain the momentum even though it is selfless service for the good of the society.
