Boku integrates BLIK for the Google Play Store in Poland

Boku has partnered with BLIK, the Polish instant payments system, to offer BLIK as a payment method on the Google Play Store.

16.3 million active BLIK users can now use their preferred form of payment for purchases. The company establishes the first Boku account-to-account (A2A) connection with Google, strengthening their existing relationship with Boku Direct Billing through the carrier. This integration aims to increase the Google Play Store user base while increasing customer satisfaction among Polish mobile-first consumers.

BLIK, recognized by the National Bank of Poland as a significant retail payment system, offers a safe and convenient payment method without disclosing user data. It is currently the most popular online payment method in Poland, with services used by half of the adult population.

The popularity of BLIK is constantly growing, as evidenced by growing transaction results and the active user base, which amounted to 16.3 million in the first quarter of 2024. During this period, users made 518 million transactions, of which e-commerce payments recorded a 28% increase. increase compared to the same period in 2023
