Cambium (CMBM) improves connectivity in the hospitality sector

Cambium Network company CMBM recently partnered with Nonius, a leading digital solutions provider in the hospitality sector, to accelerate network modernization at UK hotel chain Dakota Hotels.

Cambium’s offer includes cnMatrix EX2052-P switches, which constitute the basis of advanced network infrastructure. The switch is equipped with 48 Ethernet ports, supporting speeds of 10 Mb/s, 100 Mb/s and 1 Gb/s and can manage bandwidth up to 176 Gb/s. Cambium has implemented cnMaestro centralized cloud management to optimize network provisioning and monitoring. Using native AI root cause analysis, it quickly resolves network issues and mitigates the impact on end users. Comprehensive network visibility and centralized control enable Dakota hotels to maintain a high standard of guest services.

Six Cambium XV2-22H Wi-Fi wall-mounted Wi-Fi access points were installed in the guest rooms, providing enterprise-class, software-defined access with a bandwidth of 2.97 Gbps. Indoor XV2-21X Wi-Fi 6 access points are located in the corridors, while Hotel Cambium has installed high-density XV3-8 Wi-Fi 6 access points in the hotel’s restaurants and meeting spaces. Seamless roaming, automatic RF optimization and interference avoidance distinguish this solution, making it ideal for high-density deployments.

In today’s digital world, high-speed connections are often considered an essential convenience. Meeting and meeting facilities for business travelers, high-definition video streaming, and various hotel operations such as reservations, billing, and customer service applications require a robust network infrastructure. However, the increasing number of devices per guest, network load management, and costs associated with infrastructure improvements create significant challenges in network modernization. Cambium’s broad portfolio of switching solutions, Wi-Fi access points and cloud management platforms is well positioned to overcome these barriers.

In its recent venture with Nonius, Cambium has successfully deployed its solution to hotels in the Dakotas, enabling it to offer impressive high-speed connectivity across all its UK properties

Continued investments in wireless backbone and embedded software capabilities and expanded relationships with channel partners underpin Cambium’s long-term growth in diverse markets. The company intends to expand its geographical reach by partnering with major network operators, thereby contributing to the adoption of its products in various end markets. With the rapid shift to 5G, increasing investment in high-speed wireless networks is likely to position the company’s portfolio for lucrative opportunities in the long run.

Last year, the company’s shares lost 80.4% compared to the industry’s growth of 22.3%.
