It’s time to check for updates on your Alert FM | device News

SHASTA COUNTY, CA – The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind Alert FM device owners that it is time to make sure their devices are functioning properly.

Alert FM is a device that receives notifications via FM radio signals in emergency or crisis situations. This device helps people living in areas with limited or no internet and cell phone access receive emergency notifications.

The manufacturer claims that the device’s software should be updated periodically, and this can be done using an application on the phone.

Once you’ve downloaded the app, simply follow the instructions to make sure your device is up to date.

If any issues occur, device owners should call 866-8696-5180 for assistance.

The sheriff’s office says it will share the time and date of the next round of testing on social media and news media.
