Taiwan Semi will likely be subject to antitrust investigation by Nvidia, Microsoft, OpenAi-CNBC

Taiwan Semiconductor (NYSE:TSM) will likely be included in a previously reported US antitrust investigation by Microsoft (MSFT), OpenAI and Nvidia (NVDA). Half-Taiwan reduced by 1% amidst the report.

Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) is expected to be included in the review. The U.S. Department of Justice may include TSM in its investigation because the semiconductor company is under the supervision of the Justice Department, according to a Thursday report by CNBC that cited a person familiar with the matter.

The New York Times previously reported that the Justice Department and Federal Trade Commission would be involved in the antitrust investigation. According to CNBC, the investigation is expected to focus on the companies’ behavior rather than mergers and acquisitions.

According to a CNBC report, the Justice Department is expected to investigate Nvidia (NVDA) and TSM, while the FTC will look into OpenAI and Microsoft (MSFT).
